The Holland America Cruise ship that has been denied entry to Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, and Japan apparently has been given the green light to disembark passengers at Sihanoukville: https://www.travelweek.ca/news/holland- ... -cambodia/

Raises the issue of testing anyone getting off the ship. Has Cambodia got enough testing kits? I guess a few questions on how they are feeling and a temperature check and its off to see the sights! ( God won't they be disappointed)

Prevention is better than cure!!!!!!

No way they can do full scale testing. Even Japan only tests the symptomatic in Yokohama.

But don’t worry. The warm weather will keep all save.

They wont be hanging out in SHV, that would be a cruel trick to play on them.
Article says they will fly from SHV to PP, then fly home.

In defense of this ship docking, it has to dock somewhere, and so far no cases have been reported. The people coming of the ship are probably more scared of contracting something in Sihanoukville than the other way around.

FLying them all to Phnom Penh will be quite an operation by the way. 1,700 people? That's about ten flights going to Phnom Penh full and coming back empty.

The Oknya who owns the airline will be quite pleased. And don't think he wont be charging Holland America full-fare on the empty trips back to SHK.

Looks like someone will be getting new rims on the Bentley after this lucrative cluster-fuck.

Must be at least 20 flights if you figure in the cancellations. As there are now officially zero cases of the Virus in the kingdom, depsite the number of chinese here and the constant flow of people back and forth at least the cruise ship customers can feel safe :stir:
