70 People Arrested in Drug Raid at FLY Club in Phnom Penh
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On February 9, 2020, the police arrested 70 people, including 18 staff, in a drug raid at the FLY club on national road 6, Sangkat Chroy Changvar, Phnom Penh.
The raid was led by Lieutenant Sor Thet, deputy police of Phnom Penh police station, in collaboration with the specialist police and minor crime police. The police surrounded the club and raided it, arresting 18 workers, 34 male customers and 18 female customers in the nightclub - a total of 70 people, who were found with many drugs and a lot of drug equipment as evidence.
The police also seized 34 motorbikes and 7 cars and took them away to Phnom Penh police station.

Oh No! Club employees were involved? So maybe the owners knew about it too? Or were involved?

UPDATE: The local scandal sheets are full of the news that a Cambodian football player was amongst those arrested in the drug raid at Fly Nightclub. According to reports on social media the Boeung Ket FC midfielder Math Yamin was fired from his football club soon after his arrest.
