KTV Woman Arrested After Stealing iPhone From Police Officer

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): A 28-year-old KTV woman, Meng Sokhunthea, was arrested after stealing an iphone from a police officer on February 10, 2020, at 12:40 pm, in a shop no.108C2, on street 286, Sangkat Olympic, in Phnom Penh.
The police confiscated two iPhone XS that the woman had in her possession. The phones were returned to the two victims, Yen Leang, a 39-year-old police officer and Sok Lin, a 25 years old woman.
Before the incident, on February 10, at 12:10 pm, the suspect went from the O'Russey market to the Olympic market, where she stole the officer's phone, which was charging. However, the woman was caught in the act by the policeman, who then arrested her and took her to the police station.
Under questioning, the woman confessed that she had also stolen a phone that day from a woman named Sok Lin at the O'Russey market. After the questioning, the suspect was sent to Khan Beung Keng Kong police station to be charged with theft.
