Korean "Tourist" Overstays 3 Years and Wants to Go Home
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On April 24, 2020, at 11 am, a Korean man named JOO GYE DONG, 54 years old, went to the Office of Investigation at the Immigration Department of the police commissioner in Phnom Penh, asking for the police to send him back to his country.
The Korean man has visited Cambodia several times, and the last time he entered the country was in 2016, when he came through the Poipet border from Thailand as a tourist. He overstayed his tourist visa for about three years, and now he has no job, and he is sleeping on the street because he has no money.
The Korean man went to get the COVID-19 test, and the result was negative.
He was sent to the General Department of Immigration to follow the legal action.
