Man Shoots Medical Student Girlfriend to Death in Phnom Penh

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On January 17, 2020, at 12:10 am, a 26-year-old woman medical student, Sun Dina, was shot to death in flat no. H-03, Borey Rumchek Oudem, Sangkat Kantok, Khan Kambol, Phnom Penh. The prime suspect for the shooting is the victim's boyfriend, who ran away to escape.
At 9 pm, on January 16, 2020, the local people heard several gun explosions. Then they saw the suspect carrying the victim out of the house, and calling a PassApp tuk-tuk to take the victim to the hospital. Unfortunately, the victim died on the way to the hospital, and the boyfriend is being sought by police.
The body was kept at Khmer Soviet Friendship hospital, waiting to be examined by the specialist police and the autopsist.

RIP the lady.. And condolences her family.
Unfortunately the Perp is a 1 star from Brigade 70 and some of my friends were his subordinates.
They are no longer his subordinates and the hunt is on.

UPDATE: The chief suspect in the murder of the young medical student on January 17, 2020, has been identified as Yeun Vandet, an army captain with Unit 70, aged 30.
The couple got engaged to be married during the month of September 2019 and planned to wed in March 2020.

In the west, your average 1 star would be in their mid 40's, at the youngest.
The ranking/merit structure in Cambodia is more fucked than I thought.
There was an interesting news article a few years back that discussed the embarrassment RCAF officers faced when doing joint exercises with western militaries. During the joint exercises their ranks had to be adjusted down in order to reflect their actual experience / leadership abilities.
It wouldn't be feasible to have a Cambodian General and American General working together.......the Cambodian General would be completely out of his fucking depth.
So during the course of the joint exercises, a Cambodian General rank would have to be adjusted down to a Lance Corporal or something like that.
What a fucking joke.

A one star has around 10,000 men so the Khmer Army is at least 30 million strong
Here a 1 star has around 200 men if that.
You know Cambodia... They like fancy titles and big degrees.
After all - ask any graduate a secondary school question.

Just got Mrs Cargo to have a look at the khmer video to try to find out the motive.
She says the guy was so jealous of the girl coz she got lots of calls about the cosmetics/lotions she was selling part time and some of those callers were guys..and he mistakenly thought she had other boyfriends/men admirers..
