Lady Loan Shark Did Not Die From Eating Rice; Girlfriend Arrested

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On January 12, 2020, a 48 year old lesbian, Sok Ly, who was working as a loan sharker, was murdered by her girlfriend in Villa Town, on street V16A, Sangkat Chak Angreng Krom, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh.

The victim's family said the victim was a lesbian and a loan sharker, who was in a secret relationship with the suspect for a long time. Then, on January 12, at 1 pm, her family got the information that the victim had died for no reason. The family went to the scene, and the suspect told them that the victim died of choking while she was eating rice.
The family found some suspicious marks on the woman's body, and some of her belongings were missing. They suspected foul play, so they requested that the police examine the body. The cops found ten suspicious marks on the body and confirmed that the victim died of suffocation, with the conclusion that she was murdered.

The police arrested the girlfriend of the deceased and sent her to Chak Angreng Krom police station, where she confessed that she killed the victim. The police are questioning the suspect about other people who may have been involved. The body was returned to the victim's family for funeral preparation.

Phnom Penh: According to latest reports, on 15 January, 2020, the murder suspect, Sin Srey Neang, was sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court by police officials, and the case is now in the hands of prosecutor Seavany.
The woman was questioned and officially charged with “Murder” under Article 199 of the Penal Code, which requires the accused to be sentenced from 10 to 15 years imprisonment, if found guilty.

The couple has reportedly been together for nine years.
