Cambodia Breaking News, Phnom Penh: At 11:50 pm on 7 January 2020, the police crime forces, facilitated by Deputy Prosecutor Kuch Kimlong, raided a karaoke bar, situated at # 56, Street 230, Sangkat Teuk La 3, Khan Toul Kork, Phnom Penh. The authorities had reason to believe that the premises were being used as a front to sell drugs.

And sure enough, police arrested 3 male suspects aged 21,22,and 23, and seized a total of 14 kilograms of methamphetamine in form of crystals and pills: Crystal methamphetamine (ICE) weighing 5222.83 grams, and 49,054 pills, weighing 8882.72 grams.

The might be young, but they're sitting on 14 kg of gear. Hardly low level dealing. Gotta lockem up.

And no doubt one of them will squeal where they got it.

Lieutenant General Neak Yuthea, NACD deputy secretary-general, yesterday said that ever since the ministry set to eliminate drug distribution in night clubs and KTVs, no large amounts of drugs were seized from such outlets.

“We cracked down on six nightclubs and KTVs across the country in 2019,” he noted. “We will investigate and conduct crackdowns on other nightclubs and continue our efforts to eliminate drug use and trafficking here.”

Last November, Interior Minister Sar Kheng noted that Cambodia’s anti-drug trafficking campaign is succeeding and that police plan to focus more on small-scale drug dealers.

In that case the young men would have had to come up with $140,000 just to buy the Ice

the only reason for drug laws in these third world countries is so the police can monopolize the sale of them, and watch out that you dont get invaded by a superpower if you happen to have large crops of opium

I've seen a lot of drugs.. I have never seen so much as here though. They truly are enormous quantities.. Who the hell takes all of it? Just this tiny raid and 49,000 pills! In a tiny KTV??? Are the drugs that weak the customers have to buy a 100 a pop..

Try the W KTV on that street. Formerly Le West Club. I doubt there are any others.
