Canadian WILLIAM ALEXANDER TRUEMAN Dies of Drug Overdose at Harry's Bar, Phnom Penh

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On December 13, 2019, just after midnight at 12:24 am, a 30-year-old Canadian man, WILLIAM ALEXANDER TRUEMAN, was found dead in the toilets of Harry's Bar, on riverside, Sisovath Quai, in Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.
That evening, the victim had gone to Harry's bar to have a drink. While he was there, he went to the toilet, but then he didn't come back to his table, so some people went to look for him, and they found that he had died in the toilet.
The conclusion of the post mortem examination by autopsist, Mr. Norng Sovannaroth, and the specialist police, was that the victim died of a heart attack caused by using a drug overdose (morphine).
The victim's belongings, such as a phone, a wallet which contained 62,800 riels (about $15) and $10 in US notes, and the guesthouse key, were returned to the police. The victim was staying at Royal Guesthouse.
The body was taken to keep in the mortuary at Steung Meanchey pagoda. RIP and condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
