Man Arrested for Smashing Sihanoukville Drains

Cambodia News, Preah Sihanouk Province - A man who used a sledgehammer to destroy 12 public waterways on the street was found and arrested by the police on September 20, 2020.

The public has expressed outrage over the man's actions in destroying public infrastructure as authorities try to improve the city for the people. In this case, the authorities will deal with the suspect with the full force of the law.

What possesses a man to hate drains? Maybe an environmental activist who doesn't want the street water running straight into the brook behind? Or a construction worker who didn't get paid for busting his ass building the drain? Who knows?

At least he’s wearing a reflective vest. Hopefully he won’t get run over by a moto or a car... or a bicycle on his wrecking tour.
