Battambang Couple Arrested with Over a Kilo of "Chinese Tea"

Battambang, Cambodia News: A Battambang couple, aged 23 and 25, were arrested and taken into custody by officers from the Battambang Gendarmerie at 22.10 pm on 24th November 2019. During the raid on the suspects' house, officers seized over 1 kilogram of methamphetamine (1.098kg), or crystal meth, which was disguised as a packet of Chinese tea.

The 1 kilogram packets of " Guanyinwang Chinese tea" are currently featuring in most of the major drug busts of methamphetamine in the South East Asia-Pacific region, and there is a strong possibility that the drugs packaged identically are all coming from the same provenance.

These ubiquitous packages are being found in drug busts all over South East Asia, and the drug is not simply transiting Cambodia, but is sold to local distributors to sell to local people. Smaller time drug dealers inside Cambodia, such as these two above, are now regularly being busted with one or two packets of this "tea", which is a major supply of the methamphetamine that is flooding the drug markets in the region.

I hope the police follow the trail and find where it came from,, there will be plenty more there.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

This is just the tip of the "iceberg"! Busting two low level dealers makes it look like the police are doing their job. Pure propaganda to cover the real crooks wearing uniforms.

I've always been curious. Do they deduct the weight of the packaging/bag? It would suck to have .998Kg and be charged with having over 1Kg if there is a harsher sentence for over 1Kb (hypothetical, don't know if this is the case).
What, Me worry?
