Fatal Siem Reap Gang Fight Started with School Bullies

Siem Reap, Cambodia News: On November 5, 2019, at 10:10 pm, one man died when two gangs got into a fight in front of Angkor High School in Wat Bo Village, Siem Reap City. The victim was named as Paw Kheak, a 25-year-old employee of Snooker Club.
Things turned violent when two groups of youths gathered on their motorbikes for a rumble after a younger brother of one of the gang members was reportedly attacked at school. One person lost some fingers during the fight and one person died. The victim was taken to Siem Reap Referral Hospital by ambulance but he died on the way.

Siem Reap, Cambodia News: On 8 November 2019, five people were arrested for the murder of Phorn Vivong during a gang fight which took place on 5 November. The deceased had his fingers cut off in the brutal attack. [The preliminary report said that there was one dead and one injured, but they are one and the same person.]

All the suspects, three men and two women, had left Siem Reap and gone into hiding, but after three days, the police tracked them down in Battambang and Sen Sok district, Phnom Penh.

The five are being held for questioning and their case is being processed for trial.
