Irish Expat Passes Away in Phnom Penh

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On November 4, 2019, at 5:15 pm, a 66-year-old Irish man, identified as DONAL CRINA JAN (?), passed away in a house on street 6B, Khan Dongkor, Phnom Penh.

According to the victim's brother in law, Seng Then, 29 years old, the victim had hepatitis for ten years and also had cancer. His family took him to get treatment at Chorai and Calmette hospitals, but he didn't get better. When his condition worsened, his family took him home for the last days of his life.

After the examination by Dr. Norng Sovanaroth, the victim died of cancer. The body was taken to keep at Teuk Thla pagoda.

Donal is Irish Gaelic, it means world ruler, Donald is the English version. As the gentleman was Irish, it makes perfect sense.
