Cambodia news, (Phnom Penh): A group of Chinese and Cambodian construction workers came to the Chinese Embassy to seek intervention, because they say that the construction company of the condominium building brand PHNOM PENH STAR, located on Street 508 in Sangkat Phsar Doeum Thkov, Khan Chamkar Morn, owes a total salary of more than 1 million dollars on November 20, 2020.

More than 40 male and female construction workers, mostly Chinese and a small number of Cambodians, working on the 22-story condominium construction site developed by Phnom Penh Star Company, came to the Chinese Embassy in order to ask the Embassy to intervene with the above company to help the workers get paid their salaries; some have not been paid for 3 or 4 months.

The group of supervisors and workers working in the construction site of the company's condominium building has a total of more than 100 people, who are owed a total of more than 1 million US dollars. They have stopped working and have been protesting for a settlement from June to September, several times in a row, and as a result, the company has paid twice, the first time $ 20,000 and the second time $ 100,000, but then the company representatives disappeared forever.

The Chinese Embassy finally allowed two Chinese men, representing the workers, to enter and exit, but it is not known if a satisfactory solution has been reached.
