flying Sihanoukville to Bangkok or KL

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Good idea to grab these while they last. I had a wonderful flight from Phuket to PP in 2019. Had the A320 plane nearly to myself. It soon got quietly withdrawn. I think the Penang service actually got withdrawn before the inaugural flight.
The PP-Samui is no more as well (different airline).

I looked at availability last week for Sihanoukville/Bangkok.
The twice weekly flights advertised were not quite twice weekly. A couple of times it was just weekly.
And the flights were only available in August. Nothing beyond that...
For the Kuala Lumpur flight you could at least book Sep/Oct/Nov...

Maybe with the money they make from this, they'll be able to refund customers who have been waiting for refunds since 2020 ??

My prediction is that those routes will be short-lived.

Did you check correct airport in Bangkok? At least for me it shows all the Tuesday and Saturday flights from August on.

I doubt it. Before covid they had daily connection to KL for many years and Bangkok flights were full everytime I took it as well.

I hope these routes last. I will have a need for both of them in the coming months. Was thinking flying back to Canada from BKK as a few hundred in the coming months. Would be great if I could fly into BKK from Snooky instead of going to PP. If they ever fix the fucking road it's only an hour from Kampot to Snooky airport.

Yep. It was on the Air Asia website itself so they know the difference between DMK & BKK. Haven't looked since so its possible more flights have been added. I just found it odd that only August flights were available...as if they were using it to market, rather than it being a fully fledged new route.
