Chinese Arrested with Nearly 40kgs of Drugs in Condo Raid, Phnom Penh

Cambodia Breaking News, Phnom Penh: Nearly 40 kilograms of drugs were seized by anti-drug police forces in a raid on a condominium unit rented by a Chinese national.
Lt. Gen. Leak Vannak, director of the Ministry of Interior's Department of Narcotics, said that at 9pm on 2 October 2019, police forces entered and searched Room 19, on the 29th Floor of the condominium block in Tonle Bassac Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh.

According to Leak Vannak, as a result of the raid, a 51-year-old Chinese national, YEAN LENG FU, was arrested, and police confiscated 39 large packets of drugs weighing 1kg each. The suspect will appear before Phnom Penh Court on charges of drug trafficking and sale.

Cambodia Breaking News(Phnom Penh): On October 4, 2019, the national police reported that on October 2, the police arrested 4 Chinese men from Hong Kong and Taiwan, who are ringleaders in an international drug trafficking organization.
The Cambodian authorities confiscated 39 packets of drugs weighing a total of 39 kg in Sangkat Tonle Basac, Khan Chamkarmorn, Phnom Penh.

The 39 packs of drugs were included 35,69 kg of Methamphetamine (ICE) , Ketamine 2.9 kg,and Ecstasy 0.576 kg. The suspects were sent for case preparation following the procedure.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia Breaking News: According to preliminary reports, on the morning of October 5, 2019, four Chinese suspects were brought to the court for questioning, along with the 39kgs of drugs.

All four Chinese nationals are involved in the illegal trafficking of 39kgs of drugs found in a condo: 1- YUN LIANFU male, age 51, 2- FENG YONGCHAO, 48 year old, 3. CHOI KA LUN gender 43 year old male and 4 year old LAU CHUN KiN male, 40 years old.

Three of the suspects, who were arrested in different locations, gave the name of YUN LIANFU (initially named as YEAN LENG FU by police) as the drug supplier. His apartment was raided and 39kgs of drugs were found. However, he says that he was just keeping the drugs and denies being the main supplier.
