Thirteen Monkeys Freed From Wildlife Trafficker

Mondolkiri province, Cambodia Breaking News: A wildlife trafficker was stopped and arrested while transporting wild monkeys along National Road 76 this morning in Keo Seima district, Mondulkiri.

The suspect, 34-year-old Huyhu, was driving a car with the number 2R-8247. Thirteen monkeys were being transported in sacks in the trunk of the vehicle.

Wildlife official Brahma Vibol Ratanak says that the monkey smuggler is a well known wildlife trafficker that they had been attempting to capture for a long time. The suspect will remain in detention until he appears in court.

Happy ending for these thirteen monkeys who have been released into a protected forest area.
