Another body found at Otres today...

Cambodia Breaking News (Sihanoukville): On October 01, 2019, at 9:30 pm, an unidentified Chinese dead body was found separated into pieces in Otres Village, in Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville. Police say that the victim was murdered. They are looking to identify the deceased and are searching for possible suspects.


The body was kept at Sihanoukville local hospital awaiting for further examination and investigation.

UPDATE: (Sihanoukville) - Half of a Chinese body was found, causing shock on October 1, 2019 in Otres Village in Group 6, Village 6, Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville. It was found in a black plastic bag with three layers of blankets wrapped around the body.

The provincial police chief, Maj. Gen. Chuon Narin, told Fresh News this morning that, according to the technical examination of the body by the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police forces, the man was Chinese aged about 30, and was wearing a black T-shirt. The victim was killed elsewhere and cut into two pieces; there are 17 wounds on the torso due to sharp objects. The upper half of the body was discovered at Otres, but the rest of the cadaver is still missing.

The body is currently being stored at the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Referral Hospital and the authorities are searching for the identity of the deceased, while the specialist forces of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police are searching diligently to discover the perpetrators.

Sihanoukville: On October 4, 2019, the presumed assassin of the person found cut into pieces at Otres beach has been arrested and taken into custody. He is a Chinese national living in Sihanoukville. More to follow.

Sihanoukville: As of 2:00 pm on October 2, 2019, Sihanoukville police detained a suspect accused of killing a Chinese man and cutting his body into three pieces. The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Chinese national ZHOU YA YUN, after blood was found in the LEXUS 470, white license plate number 2AH-1611, used to transport the body parts. Police also found blood-stained clothes at the man's residence.

The victim was identified as WU CHENGHUI, a 23-year-old money-changer. On 30 September, the suspect was doing business with the victim at his place of work at Village 4, Sangkat 4 in Sihanoukville, when he stabbed the victim to death with a chopping knife. After the murder, the suspect cut the man's body into three pieces, wrapped them up, and distributed them in various wastelands in Sihanoukville districts 3 and 4. The first body part was discovered at Otres in District 4 on 1 October, and the other two pieces have now been recovered by police.
The suspect has made a full confession, and Sihanoukville Criminal Police are now proceeding with the case for court.
