Do Not Eat Poisonous Toads

Cambodia Breaking News (Kandal): On September 13, 2019, at 1:30 am, a 45-year-old man, Kong Sopheak, a farmer, died after eating a toad in Koh Keo Krom village, Lvea Am district, Kandal.

Before the incident, the victim caught some toads under his house and he cooked them up. But after eating them, the victim threw up three or four times and then his wife took him to the hospital but he had already passed away.

After the postmortem examination, the body was returned to his family for funeral preparations.

Bad move, much as I like toads nobody ever said they were delicious. Smoking them is safe enough though.

I like the way the photos show how he went from being run over by a Lexus on a Takhmao bridge to dying of toxic amphibian consumption in a rural Kandal hellhole.
