In fact, factorys do comply with this, otherwise workers go to strike.

Do they now?

None of the factory workers I know do.

That said, don't know any current garment sector workers.

Just since the instruction earlier this year, or were you paid fortnightly before that?

I've been getting paid every two weeks since the beginning of the year when the prakas came out. It's not exactly rocket science to implement.

Do you prefer it?

My colleagues were against it, and nothing ever came of it.

I do. However, where I'm from people get paid weekly or every two weeks. No one ever gets paid monthly (must be a law), so I always thought it was ludicrous to be paid on a monthly basis. I realize that in the UK, getting paid monthly is standard, so Brits might prefer that. I find it's easier to manage money when paid regularly, so always thought it would be advantageous for staff who are on the lower end of the pay scale. That's just me though. If they're not used to it they might not like it, and I also get that some people like to receive a big chunk of change all at once.
