Cambodia Breaking News (Phnom Penh): On August 26, at 10:10 pm, the Department of Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection collaborated with local police and raided Bunny Bar on Street 104 for prostitution, in Sangkat Wat Phnom, Khan Don Penh, Phnom Penh. 9 People have been detained, including a 61-year-old Australian man, identified as "JOHN," who is the owner of the bar.

The Bunny Bar manager, 60-year-old Shane Robins from England, was also arrested in the raid and is currently being detained.

The police received a tip from someone that Bunny Bar was offering sexual services to customers, and that some of the staff was underage, as young as 15 years old. Since the tip-off from someone, they have been watching the place. On August 26 the police finally raided the place and detained several people, including the Australian owner John, the British manager Shane Robins, and a few Cambodian women.

It appears that Shane is the one getting arrested in the 'Sunset Beach' t-shirt and John is the one in the police van, wearing a red t-shirt and flipping off reporters.

They have all been sent to the Department of Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection for questioning and will prepare a case to submit to the courts.

I was actually in there for a beer late on the night of the above mentioned 60th birthday and most of the women working there were closer to 81 years than 18 years.

I don't believe that's the case here. As I understand, from friends who have been and witnessed it. There were services available on site, upstairs a la sophies bar, which makes it a brothel not just a hostess bar, hence the raid. I'm sure being western owned probably didn't help, but nor did they help themselves if they new this was going on.
