Brutal Unprovoked Knife Attack by Chinese Man on Khmer Woman Translator

Kandal, Cambodia News: An extremely brutal and unprovoked attacked is reported to have occurred on 10 August 2019 on a Chinese construction site in Kandal province, when a Chinese male national punched a Cambodian woman translator in the face and stabbed her in the thigh.
According to reports, the Chinese man was known to be aggressive and cruel to the workers on the site. In this instance, reports say that he called the Khmer woman interpreter and another Chinese national into his room where he locked the door and proceeded to attack the woman with his fists and a knife.
The victim has filed a complaint with the local police station, and after receiving the complaint, police detained the suspect for questioning on August 12, 2019. The Chinese aggressor is being maintained in detention and will be charged with aggravated violence.
