Garment Factory Pickpocket Nabbed in the Act

Phnom Penh: A female pickpocket was caught red-handed on the morning of July 24, 2019 in front of the Hongwai Garment Factory in Trapeang Thleng village, Sangkat Chom Chao, Khan Por Senchey.
Before the incident, the woman worker came out of the factory to buy food in front of the factory, when the suspect jostled the woman from behind. The victim suspected nothing, but then she saw that the suspect was holding her factory ID card in her hand. The woman immediately began to shout that she had been robbed, and a factory security guard ran up and apprehended the thief.
The victim, Ms Sok Lim, 57, a sanitary worker at a Hongwai garment factory, had US$300 in her wallet that she had just withdrawn and also 16,000 riel.
The thief was identified as Ms. Touch Srey Oun, 33, a resident of Bakheng commune. The security guards took her to the Chom Chao Police 1 to be arrested and charged.
