Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: City Bus Public Bus Transit is pleased to welcome and prioritize those women who wish to be a bus driver today.
For the moment, the two Phnom Penh Bus female drivers are the only two women who have been able to drive and transport passengers in the same way as men drivers. But, the bus company is encouraging women to come forward for this job.

Currently, women are promoted in all sectors, especially in the field of labor. Men's work can be done by women. This is the policy of the Royal Government to give women the opportunity to contribute to the development of the nation as well as the development of themselves and their own families.

That's good, but I wish they could be given uniforms
so the service looks more profesional.

Yes, this is good, BUT why say that women drivers are equivalent to men ? Women are probably a lot better, and make more cautious bus drivers.
Let's hope more women sign up for this. And also for long distance minivan driving. ;-) No reason that drivers should be male, as they usually are.

I don't care what sex the driver is, so long as they don't drive like a f**kwit. If it's a woman, more power to her.
