Cambodia Breaking News (Phnom Penh): On June 24, 2019, the Department of Investigation and Procedure of the General Department of Immigration, received a Brazilian couple and 1 Chinese man from Phnom Penh police.

1. A 63-year-old Chinese man, YANG YU XING, was detained by Beung Keng Kang police for having no passport, being homeless and sleeping on the street. The Chinese man came to Cambodia through Phnom Penh international airport in 2016. He said that he lost his passport on the street.

2. A Brazilian couple, GRILLO LEONARDO GABRIE, a 35-year-old man, and PIRES SILVA ALESSUZA, a 30-year-old woman, were arrested for overstaying their visas, and also for owing money at White River Guesthouse, Street 172, in Phnom Penh.
The couple came to Cambodia on November 30, 2017, arriving at Siem Reap international airport, then they moved to Phnom Penh and stayed at White River guesthouse. In the end, they were arrested because they owed the guesthouse US$4,632, and they had no job and no money to pay for the guesthouse, and they were staying in Cambodia illegally on expired visas.

The three foreigners were sent to the Immigration Department to be detained and deported following the legal procedure.

Hmm, I wouldn’t expect to get a $4000 credit at any hotel in the world. Prepay or get lost is a more common expression.
