Cambodia Breaking NewsPhnom Penh: The Office of Investigation of the Phnom Penh branch of the Immigration Department has received a US national for an overstayed visa, after he was detained by the police force at Boeung Keng Kang I, Khan Chamkar Morn, Phnom Penh, on July 7, 2019.
Lieutenant Cheat Tetra, chief of the Office of Investigation and Enforcement, said that the foreign man has been identified as CARL CHRISTIAN MARTIN, a 39-year-old US passport holder. He first arrived in the kingdom on April 23, 2014, at Phnom Penh International Airport, as a tourist. However, his last visa extension expired on 21 March 2019 and was not renewed.
The authorities have sent the American man to the Immigration Department to be charged with staying in Cambodia illegally without the correct documentation.
