Thai Druggies Arrested in Poipet Casino

Cambodia Breaking News (Poipet): On June 15, 2019, Poipet police arrested seven people (6 Thai nationals and 1 Cambodian) for the use and traffic of illegal drugs, in room no.15 in the Grand Casino in Poipet city, Banteay Meanchey.
Mr. Then Sindeth, a Poipet police inspector, reported that suspects were identified as Thaknanat called Ti, 38-year-old Thai man, Thongchai Sethikorn Methakon, 33-year-old Thai man, Chatha Keathekhunkawan, 32-year-old Thai woman, Malini Khundeth, 32 year old Thai woman, Sibanpoy Monkhunchaivuth, 58 year old woman, Sirikanya Thangthong, 35 year old Thai woman, and Khaew Tang, 34 year old Cambodian man.
The police confiscated six packets of white powder, some Ketamine, five pills of unidentified drugs, a set of scales, plastic bags, five phones, a charger, and drug-using paraphenalia.
The operation was ordered by Lieutenant General Ath Khem, police chief of Banteay Meanchey police station. After investigation into the case, the police prepared the case of the suspects, together with the evidence, for submitting to Poipet Provincial Court.
