Singaporean Expat Checks Himself Out of Calmette Hospital and Dies of Heart Attack

Cambodia Breaking News (Phnom Penh): A 65-year-old Singaporean man, Johny, died of a heart attack on June 18, 2019, in a condo on the 12-floor of a building in Borey Camko City, in Sangkat Toul Sangk2, Khan Rousey Keo, Phnom Penh.

Before the incident, the victim was feeling unwell so he went to Sampop Broseth clinic. The doctor there sent him to Calmette hospital because he had had a severe heart attack. At Calmette hospital, the doctor told the man he needed to stay in hospital for three days treatment, but he rejected that and insisted on going home to his apartment.

The victim's brother-in-law, Sok Makara, said at 2 pm the same day, they both were sitting on the sofa in the living room when suddenly, the victim took two deep breaths, then passed away. The police went to examine the body, gave the cause of death as heart attack, and took the body to keep at Songkran Taprum pagoda. RIP.
