Chinese Man Nabs Ladyboy Pickpocketer with $980 on Riverside, Phnom Penh

Cambodia Breaking News (Phnom Penh): On May 26, 2019, at 01:45 am, a 30-year-old ladyboy, Khwan Chanty, one of two ladyboy thieves, was arrested after pickpocketing a Chinese man on the riverside at Sisowath Quay, Phnom Penh. The victim was identified as MA ZHIHONG, 31-year-old, a phone seller.

Shortly before the incident, on May 26, at 1:30 am, after having dinner, the victim and his friends took the tuk-tuk to Preah Sisovath boulevard, where the victim got out of the tuk-tuk. Suddenly, two ladyboys came to chat up the victim, and while they were talking to him, they pocketed $1,580 USD. They tried to run away, but they dropped $US980 of the stolen money; the victim collected that money and detained one of the two suspects. The local police took the suspect to the police station for questioning.

The police are preparing the case of the suspect and searching for the ladyboy accomplice.
