Fantastic news ....except
I hope it doesn't flood.
I hope the needs of the communities that will be affected are considered and good compensation is made to those who will have to vacate land.
It'll be a nightmare in terms of disruption to traffic in the meantime....and it is bad enough already.

I hope there are no corners cut on construction materials etc.
Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.

These people must have two dicks, they could not be so stupid only playing with one.

It would have to be boats not trains with the water table and the floods.

If Amsterdam, below sea level, can have a dry subway I am sure engineers can come up with a solution for a subway in Phnom Penh.

But.... I worry about how it'll be implemented in a country seemingly unable to build a road that lasts longer than 3 years.

Building subways is not a problem, it's the operating and maintenance of them is where the problems are. Firstly you need electricity to keep pumps operating to pump out water. Electricity for lighting and be able to monitor movement of traffic with CCTV cameras.
Spoiler:
Great to see the CCTV cameras working and controlling traffic on riverside and street 110 intersection.

PP is no Amsterdam. I worry about how it'll be implemented in a country seemingly unable to make a sandwich.

Let's just hope the rotating power cuts in the dry season will be from 12-5 AM for the subway. :stir:
