Poachers Caught in Action on Sesan River, Stung Treng

Steung Treng, Cambodia News: Police arrested 4 Vietnamese men for using weapons illegally and hunting wildlife on May 01, 2019, when they caught them red-handed.
Local people reported that on 30 April 2019 they saw the suspects going into the forest with guns to hunt the wildlife, so they reported this to the police immediately. Then, early on the morning of 1 May, the police went to find the men and discovered them in possession of dead wildlife, guns and homemade bullets.
The police said that the four Vietnamese men lived along Sesan river and always hunted wildlife at night, using their guns to kill wildlife such as peacocks.
The suspects were arrested and sent to the Royal Gendarmerie .
