Minor Rescued in Pailin Brothel Raid; 9 People Detained

Pailin, Cambodia News: On April 10, 2019, the police from the Department of Human Trafficking and Protection of Minors cracked down on a brothel and detained nine people, in Psar Prum village, Sala Krao district, Pailin.
After receiving the order from Prosecutor Touch Pheakdey, the police raided a brothel where they detained 9 Vietnamese, 2 owners and six sex workers, as well as the house owner. The owner of the brothel was going to take one of the 6 six workers, who was a minor, to sell her as a virgin in Sihanoukville.
The police are preparing the case of the nine suspects to be presented to the court.
