25yo South African, JAN JACOBUS KNOETZE, Dies in Phnom Penh Apartment

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On March 13, 2019,at 03:30 pm, a 25-year-old South African man, KNOETZE JAN JACOBUS, a teacher, was found dead in a room no.B204E2 at the White Real Estate apartment block, on street 125, Sangkat Beung Prolet, Khan Prampi Makara, Phnom Penh.

The police said the man first came to Cambodia on November 3, 2017, and he moved into this apartment on December 1, 2018. After a postmortem examination, the police determined that the victim died of a heart attack. The body has been sent to Teuk Thlar pagoda.
RIP and condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Just wondering how elaborate the post mortem exams are. Have they ever determined that a foreigner was poisoned?

Seems like everything is a heart attack, suicide, or natural cause death. I gotta believe that foreigners have been poisoned, right?

That would cause them grief if they had a suspect to chase. Crime states, less work, all kinds of reasons to give a quick easy cause of death me thinks

Thank you! People are dropping like flies! Old, young, it don't matter! And always males! Can't really compare Cambodia to Vietnam or Thailand, since they are far more advanced. How does Cambodia compare to Myanmar or Laos? Or to other countries in the region that are on the same socio-economic level?
