Two Chinese Men Sentenced to Life for Postal Drug Trafficking in Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On March 01, 2019, the Phnom Penh court judge announced the verdict of two Chinese men for drug trafficking. They were arrested on October 10, 2018, at Phnom Penh Central Post Office.
The two men, Lai Kuan Yu, a 24-year-old Taiwanese man, and Lin Chen Chia, a 29-year-old Chinese, were charged with trafficking more than 1kg of MDMA drugs by post, under article 40 of the drug control law. They have been sentenced to life imprisonment and fines of 60 million riel each.
