Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On February 27, 2019, at 11 pm, a three star military officer, who thought he was irresistible to women, slapped a restaurant singer repeatedly in the face after she refused to sleep with him, at Beung Meas restaurant, Khan Chroy Changvar, Phnom Penh.

After slapping the victim, the suspect and his friends left the restaurant in a Mazda car RCAF plate 02-1215.

The victim, *** Sreypov, 35 years old, has filed a complaint at Chroy Changvar police post.

For punishment, he should be forced to listen to Celine Dion continually for the rest of his life.

Should have shot himself in the nuts instead to ensure no reproduction.

UPDATE: Firstly, apologies to Miss Srey Pov. It appears that she is 25 years of age, not 35 as first stated.

As for the incident itself, it is reported that after hearing her sing, the officer insisted on dancing with the singer, and then he became violent after she refused his tempting offer of $20 to go to a hotel room with him. Even when he upped the offer to $100 she declined the money, which made him angry and he hit her. So then she went to the police to file a complaint.

Some men really don’t take no for an answer.

A high-ranking military officer on Saturday paid $8,000 in compensation to a restaurant singer who alleged that he slapped her when she turned down an offer to have sex with him for $300.

According to a local newspaper, the settlement between Lieutenant General Pol Sinuon and Yin Phally, 32, was reached after both parties met to discuss the matter at the Phnom Penh Military Police headquarters.

On Thursday, Ms Phally filed a complaint alleging that Lt Gen Sinuon slapped her when she turned down the $300 offer at about 11pm at Boeng Meas restaurant in Chroy Changva district.

Ms Phally could not be reached for comment yesterday, but on Thursday she demanded $10,000 in compensation.

Well fook me..didn't a German dude recently pay a bar girl $400 in compensation for allegedly slapping her face over a $65 disputed bar bill (which he denies)?

Albeit there wasn't any police involvement in the former..

Albeit there wasn't any police involvement in the former..

Westerners don't have the cache they once had amongst Khmers,especially given this burgeoning, nouveau riche, middle class of theirs. They know that 70% of us wouldn't be able to pull that kind of scratch together in a day or two.

And anyway, don't think this 3-star didn't strut around that venue without all the plebes knowing he was somebody.

He was also most likely decked out in the typical wannabe Bong Thom accoutrements of oversized gaudy watch, thick diamond encrusted ring, possibly gold necklace, arriving in tank sized SUV, filled with lower ranking, sycophantic underlings.

So this singer was probably seeing dollar signs even before her ears stopped ringing from the slap.

That's a smart singer
