I'd like to know if she got her letter from the Queen. And if it was sent, did it arrive in Kampot, lol ?
For those who don't know, British subjects who reach 100 years old get a letter of congratulations from the Queen of England. Or so they say.

Would be interesting to know more about her...how long she'd been living in Kampot/KOW, how she came about to move to Cambodia and such like..

Another empire myth bites the dust. Anyway, always did seem a bit crazy - Here Granny, the Queen is suddenly so interested in your welfare that she sent you a birthday card. Never mind if you have enough to eat or you are rotting away in an old folks home.
As suggested by CC, a British woman who dies at the age of 100 in her own home in Cambodia must have led an interesting life. She probably didn't need any letters from the Queen to tell her that. It sounds like she has family here taking care of her last rites. Sounds good actually. RIP.

At least she she travelled and did what she wanted, better than to die in an old peoples home?

I'd like to know more about her backstory. I don't believe I've ever heard of any foreigner that old being here at all, and not many locals get to that age either.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
