Driver Pays Out $100 After Totalling a Tuktuk
Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: The accident occurred at 8:05 pm on Sunday, April 15, 2019, when a white TOYOTA Hilux Revo traveling along National Road 2 in the direction from south to north, swiped the side of what is known as an "Indian tuktuk", which overturned and landed on the roof. Fortunately, the driver was unhurt.
Police on the scene left the two drivers to negotiate, and in the end, the car driver paid the tuktuk driver $100 damages for the accident.

Re: Driver Pays Out $100 After Totalling a Tuktuk
This looks like a textbook example of what happens when a person who has a few quid is in an accident and totally in the right.
All liability lies with the other party, yet they must receive some small tithe in order for getting out of your hair.
Happened to me once, and many Cambodian and forigen folk I know also.

That makes sense. That's the only explanation I can think of to explain the measly $100 payout.Jerry Atrick wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 10:04 pm This looks like a textbook example of what happens when a person who has a few quid is in an accident and totally in the right.

The highway is no place for an underpowered tuk tuk.
