Three Go Singing at KTV, Try to Pay Owner with Machete

Kampong Speu, Cambodia News: On January 31, 2019, three men were arrested after they refused to pay their bill at a KTV and then threatened the owner with a machete, in Chumnob village, Ohral district, Kampong Speu. The suspects were identified as Tha Thai, 23-year-old, Leng Vet, 30-year-old and Yon Metha, 23-year-old.
Before the incident, the suspects went to the KTV named Reaksmey Oral where they drank and sang and had a fun time. However, when they were done, they couldn't pay their bill of 42,000 Riel (US$10.50), so they tried to run off without paying. The KTV owner detained them and asked to pay before leaving. Then the suspects turned nasty and took a machete from their motorbike and started to bust up the KTV and threaten the owner.
So, the owner called the cops and filed a complaint for non-payment and violence, and the three suspects were taken away to the police station to sober up, make their statements, and prepare for court.
