Phnom Penh, Cambodian News: On January 21, 2019,a 34-year-old tuktuk driver, Pen Chantra, was arrested for child abuse in Dey Thmey village, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.

Police received a report from the man's neighbors that he had attacked a 4-year-old boy, causing him injury. The victim was identified as a nephew of the suspect.

The suspect confessed that he was angry with the kid for throwing some staff outside the house. So he took a broom and a belt and gave the boy a beating, and then he kicked the kid and cracked one of his ribs.

After the incident, the victim was sent to Kanthak Bopha hospital for treatment.

No, this is sad, as an adult, he should have given kid a talk, instead of beating him. Kids around that age are really naughty, because they don’t know what is right or bad, so adults play a role which help them see the world. Poor kid. But I think the man maybe had some bad time before he beat kid, it’s like a passion crime.
