Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

Battambang, Cambodia News: At 9am yesterday, 29 January 2019, three suspects were arrested for drugging and stealing from the owner of Sor Yim guest house, 63-year-old Mr Sor Yim. The suspects were identified as 54-year-old Chea Chenda, 24-year-old Chheng Seyha, and a female minor, 16-year-old Long Sreyya, a professional gang of thieves.

The three thieves had hatched a cunning plot, where they invited their victim to drink beer with them in their room at the guest house, then when he left the room to go to the toilet, they slipped sleeping pills into his can of beer. The plan worked like clockwork, and soon Sor Yim had passed out on the bed and was snoring up a storm. The three plotters quickly searched his property and stole everything they could find: which was, US$150 cash, a gold necklace worth $2,000, a diamond necklace worth $1,000, an iPhone X worth $800, and two watches worth $100.
At the arrest, Battambang police recovered the iphone and the two watches from the thieves, but the two necklaces are both missing. The suspects appeared before the provincial court yesterday and have been remanded in custody until their trial.
