Croat CORICEDVIN SMANJCOVIC Arrested for Overstaying Visa

The 45-year-old Croat CORICEDVIN SMANJCOVIC got arrested in Daun Penh for overstaying his visa.
He has a Cambodian wife and ten-year-old child.

So how do they find out about these overstayers?
I mean when you get your initial visa they don't really know where you stay. So someone presumably reports them to immigration? But how would they know?

They make some sort of trouble like skipping a tab or getting in a fight leading to authorities turning up and following proceedings of mean panha ort mean loi immigration policy.

Yuh, good points..hadn't thought of all those possibilities.. But this guy good..he have wife and kid...no?

Homeless people often get reported.
It may be a result of any situation where the police are called.
A few may be reported by someone who doesnt like them.
I stayed in a small town where very few foreigners stay. The police came to the guest house and wanted to see my passport and visa, which I showed them.
