Kampong Thom, Cambodia News: On December 14, 2018, Lieutenant Teth Samnang reported a tragic case of a jealous husband who committed suicide after shooting his wife with five gunshots at 07:30 pm on December 13, 2018, in Balang Keut village, Steung Sen city, Kampong Thom.

The suspect, 47-year-old Heng Sovann, used a pistol that he had kept since he was a soldier to shoot his wife, Sun Pov, 37 years old, in the back. After killing his wife, he shot himself in the head. Both victim and suspect died immediately at the scene.

According to the victim's sister, the couple were always arguing because the husband was crazy with jealousy because he suspected that his beautiful wife was unfaithful. The arguments were violent, and the man had previously attempted to kill the victim, but the family had intervened.

However, despite their problems, the couple remained together, and the domestic violence continued until yesterday evening, when, after they had been drinking, the man finally took his gun and killed them both.
Police determined that the case was a murder-suicide caused by the husband's jealousy.

After forensic examination, the family took the bodies to prepare the two funerals.

Hmmm, in one account it says Sun Pov was 37, in another account 25. Quite a big difference. Which is it? I say she appears to be 37, the daughter appears to be 10 y/o at least. Unlikely that Sun had a child at 15 y/o.
