Boy Mauled by Wild Bear on Ratanakkiri Hunting Trip

Ratanakkiri, Cambodia News: In the afternoon of November 6, 2018, a 16-year-old boy, Noy Ser Eu, was seriously injured after getting bitten by a bear in the forest near Tumponring Toch village, Taveng district, Ratanakkiri.
The police said the victim went with his father on a hunting trip, deep into the jungle. Suddenly he was mauled by a wild bear, who bit him in the leg causing a serious injury.
The victim's father took him back to their house, and called the police who took the boy to the local Taveng district hospital for treatment.
