Police Target Chinese Nationals in Sihanoukville Drug Raids

Sihanoukville, Cambodia News: Lieutenant General Sun Sophat, a deputy crime commissioner, said that on November 1 and 2, 2018, the Anti-Narcotics Police, in cooperation with the Sihanoukville police force, conducted six raids in search of drugs, and arrested seven suspects. All those arrested were Chinese nationals.
Case 1: At around 3am, on November 1, 2018, a Chinese chef, Wu Yin Chang, 30, was arrested in front of the local market with three packets of white powder.
Case 2: On November 1, 2018, at 4:10 pm, in Village 4, Sangkat 4, police detained one suspect, Fan Yong, Chinese 30 years old, with two packets of drugs, one set of scales, and two phones.
Case 3: 1st November, 2018, at 19:15 pm, two suspects were detained at Group 2, Village 4, Sangkat 4, Preah Sihanouk City, :
1. Li QUi Zhi, a 26-year-old Chinese businessman, was found with a purple powder-colored powder, 9 packets and one WY 1 pack (5 tablets).
2. Xia Zhuo, a 20-year-old Chinese businessman, had two small packets of drugs on him, and his car was confiscated by police.
Case 4: 1st November, 2018, at 9:55 pm, located in Group 9, Village 1, Sangkat No 3, Sihanouk Ville, Aa Dong, a 28-year-old Chinese businessman, was arrested a small package of drugs and a WY pill.
Case 5: 1st of November, 2018, at 21:35 in Group 9, Village 1, Sangkat 3, suspect Lei Lin, a 30-year-old Chinese businessman, was found with 2 packages of drugs.
Case 6: On November 2, 2018, at 1:20 pm in Group 12, Village 2, District 2,police detained suspect, Yiang Lin Fei, 28, Chinese, with 6 packages of drugs.
