Woman Arrested Running Illegal Fishing-Game Den, Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On October 20, 2018, at 05:30 am, lieutenant Kol Yi, the Khan Reusey Keo governor, led the police force to crack down on a fish-shooting gambling den on national road 5, Sangkat Toul Sangke 2, Khan Reusey Keo, Phnom Penh. A 28-year-old woman, Som Sreyda, was arrested.
The police confiscated two gambling machines, a notebook, 50,000 riels, and the woman will appear before court on charges of running an illegal gambling den. The authorities are ready to clamp down on any type of betting outfit, no matter how small, in order to protect Cambodians from the evils of gambling.
