Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On September 25,2018, at 9:30 pm, a 2-star general, Long Teth, got caught cheating on his wife with a young girl, in Borey Lim Cheanghak, Khan Dong Kor, Phnom Penh.

According to the wife of the military officer, the couple have been together for ten years and have three children. All was good for them; they had a business buying and selling land.

But, the wife said that recently her husband was behaving strangely, going out all the time, and he was always angry with her. So then she followed him and found that he parked his car at another house in Borey Cheanghak.
The woman was so angry that she took a rock and smashed the Lexus 570 and broke the window of the house while her husband and the young girl were hiding inside.

After that, the woman went to file a complaint at Khan Dong Kor police post.

And what will the cops do about it?

...there is a law in Cambodia making adultery a crime. It was enacted before Penal Code and law on enacting the new Penal Code didn't require criminal offenses to be codified, so old laws, that prescribed criminal punishment along with the old , UN era a kind of Penal code, are still in force...

Well, whether or not there is any prosecution involved (my guess, unlikely) or fine/financial settlement (more likely), the wife certainly achieved her aim of exposing the husband and his bit fluff on the side.

For the husband, I imagine there would be some degree of embarassment amongst family and friends (unless they knew already). As far as his career is concerned, given it is male dominated and he wouldn't be robinson crusoe, I doubt there will be much repercussion.

For the bit of fluff, I think the degree of embarassment would be much more significant. Indeed, she may not feel safe stepping out of her home as no doubt there will be a lot of sympathy amongst khmer women for the wife coz they would see this younger girl as a husband stealer.. Furthermore, you hear lots of instances of wives taking out contracts on mistresses.. My GF reckons KTVs can be dangerous places for girls to work for this reason.
