Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On 5 September 2018, at noon, a 12-year-old boy, S** S********, was detained and beaten by a crowd of by-standers, after trying to snatch a bag from a fish seller in Toul Sangke Market, Khan Reusey Keo, Phnom Penh.

The smackdown occurred after two teens rode up on a Honda Motorbike at high speed to snatch a bag from a fish seller. Their attempt failed when the victim screamed for help, and local people came running to help chase the suspects, and they captured one of them. The teen thief, who is in fact only 12 years old, was soundly beaten by the crowd before being turned over to the police. The other suspect ran away to escape.

After the incident, the police took the kid down to the police station to be charged with theft.

And an expat teacher at a university here, Mr Martin McNicholas thinks these boys should be executed. Because that would reduce the crime rate by 99%.

Not arguing, but it did take me a couple of looks to see the extent of bruising on his arm

Glad he got a beating. He deserved it.
Will execution in this case is harsh, i do believe in eye for an eye.

2nd picture? Looks more like road rash, possibly from being pulled from the bike.

A beating has never made anyone a better person.
