21 Vietnamese Construction Workers Detained for Working Illegally in Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: On August 3 at 08:45 am, the Department of Investigations and Procedures and the Immigration Department, coordinated by Mr. Seang Sok, the prosecutor of the Phnom Penh court and clerk, Mr. Lim Haisieng, went to inspect a report of 41 foreigners (7 Koreans and 34 Vietnamese nationals) who were working at a construction site illegally in Khan Chey Chumneas, khan Don Penh, Phnom Penh.

After checking for documents, they decided there were 21 Vietnamese working illegally, who were arrested for the living and working without any documents. They were taken to the immigration department to follow legal procedures.

Vietnamese construction workers are good value for money.... I have heard it said that it takes 3 Vietnamese to do the work of one westerner in construction, but takes 5 Khmer, to do the work of one Vietnamese.
