Kampot Customs Crack Down on Wood Trafficking Boat
Kampot: On July 17 at 10 pm, The customs Navigation Officer cooperating with the Royal Gendarmerie, led a raid on a boat which was attempting to smuggle 3 containers of good quality wood to Vietnam at Preak Thnot port in Kampot.
According to the police, the containers held 53 pieces of good quality wood. The police took the wood to keep at the Customs Navigation Office for temporary safe-keeping, and are now preparing the case to submit to the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia who will make a decision.
