Guesthouse Owner Nabs Man Paying with Fake Dollars

Kampong Speu: On July 10 at 7:35 pm, the 56 year old owner of Thy Thy Komphea guesthouse in Kampong Speu detained a 41 year old man, Dem Sarum, after he tried to pay for his room with a fake $50 note.

The guesthouse owner called the police, and held the suspect until they arrived. The man was discovered to be a professional passer of counterfeit dollars. After a body search, police found $330 more of the fake money on the suspect - 5 x $50 notes and 8 x $10 notes.
