Kandal: Two men were arrested and got beaten up by the local people after stealing a dog at 1:05 am, on June 11, Sangkat Takmao, Kandal. The two suspect were then arrested; Sok Boran, 42 years old and Hang Sokhea, 34 years old, are both from Phnom Penh.

Before the incident, the police went to patrol the area and found the suspects trying to catch the dog. Then the police and the local people chased the suspects and detained them immediately.

The police confiscated a Honda Blade motorbike, a dead dog, and dog catching equipment. The two suspects have been detaining for case preparation following by legal action.

I have zero problem with any animal being eaten as a protein source, as long as the animal is treated humanely. I've personally eaten cat and dog while visiting in other cultures, when offered.

For the barbarism I've seen in Cambodia, I have a distinctly Old Testament view of punishment for the torture that dogs are subjected to, especially when they're cooked alive in boiling oil after being slashed with a machete to prevent them from getting away.

Bind the legs of the perpetrators and toss them in boiling oil. They'd probably live. Word would get out. The practice would abate sharply.

A friend had his family dog taken by the dog-eater restaurant down his street. His instinct was to head down there with a machete himself. Good that he didn't, but I can easily understand the urge.

ive seen some videos online of the Chinese and Vietnamese torturing dogs, doesnt matter what animal it is, they are sick fucks

contrary to popular belief eating dog in China is carried out by a small majority minority.
It is not as widespread as portrayed
